Self-indulgent comment is self-indulgent, but aside from this piece looking absolutely stunning (that light!), I must say I get the absolute creepiest sense of deju vu from it, and for that I'm drawn to it. For years I've had fish appear as a motif in my dreams, and it's the closest thing I've ever had to a recurring dream- usually they appear as either unreasonably huge fish swimming in the shallows of a lake (fish that these remind me of powerfully) or strange pet stores filled completely with tanks of unknown fish. It's a complete mystery to me why. This image really gets me remembering the uneasy feeling I get from those dreams; I'm fascinated by my own sense of disorientation when I look at it.

hey, it's funny, I've had a recurrent dream for a few years as a child, with fishes that were trying to bite me and had to be killed of. the picture reminds me of those dreams and what you and lieserl say too, of course.
